Today is HIS and not his

Gosh, it's been months since I last blogged about anything. Guess am too busy with my senior life, I forgot that I actually have a blog to fill. Well anyway, what's important is that I'm here, not just for a simple and ordinary blog, but something SPECIAL..REALLY SPECIAL.

It's the 25th of December today you guys!!! It's definitely not just any other day but today is the birthday of a very special SOMEONE in my life, and yours too...(I hope). Today is the birthday of JESUS CHRIST himself. The ONE who sacrificed himself for the sake of us, HIS people. This is the time of the year when we get to decorate our houses with lots of CHRISTmas lights, flowers, and garlands too. This is also the time of the season when we get to exchange gifts and get our families together. This is the time for us to be jolly. But is it just that, really?

Sadly, we tend to forget the real spirit of CHRISTmas, for what we know now is that, CHRISTmas would be nothing without gifts and moreover...SANTA CLAUS. I just can't seem to understand why parents try to raise their kids in the belief that such "bulky old man" exists. Moreover, what I hate about it, is that, that same "old bulky man" with "imaginary gifts" for "the kids" seems to be the star of CHRISTmas when he's NOT!!!

Come on, whatever happened to telling children stories about the NATIVITY. Oh, and that song too...away in a manger, no crib for a bed...the little LORD JESUS laid down his sweet head...the stars in the night sky looked down where he lays...the little LORD JESUS asleep on the hay...the cattles are lowing the BABY awakes...but little LORD JESUS no crying HE makes. I expect that more than "hohoho". Sigh...it's just sad that kids tend to wait more of him than of HIM when HE is really the star of the event. I just hope that more and more people would be enlightened of the true meaning of CHRISTmas which is not just about gifts and not just for kids. I just hope that more and more people would come to realize that CHRISTmas is all about the deep LOVE and FORGIVENESS for EVERYONE. It is all about SIMPLICITY and it is all about CHRIST...for today is HIS...and NOT his.
